The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is a single seat attack aircraft. It is capable of landing on a aircraft carrier. It was buit for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The wing is a delta wing and the aircraft has a single engine.
The Skyhawk has a maximum take off weight of 24,500lb and has a top speed of more then 600 miles per hour. It is capable of carrying a variety of missiles, bombs and other items. Skyhawks played roles in the Vietnam War, the Yom Kippur War and the Falklands war. The Brazilian Navy still use the aircraft today. |
