The McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender is the military version of the Douglas DC-10. The KC-10 has military equipment on board for its roles as refuelling and multi role aircraft. The aircraft was mainly used by the US Air Force but the Royal Netherlands air force operated two of the type. The USAF KC-10 is mainly used for overseas operations including many was (eg. Iraq and Gulf Wars). USAF say the aircraft is expected to serve until 2046.
